My Services

The weeks after taking a baby home from the hospital can be very busy. Most families have at least 2-3 visits with the pediatrician in the first 2 weeks, plus separate visits with a lactation consultant. I provide all of the same services in a relaxed environment in your home. My services include:

Consultation before birth to discuss how to prepare yourself for breastfeeding, the hospital stay and the first few days of life
All routine newborn exams, just like in your pediatrician's office
Weight tracking
Lactation consultation
Pre- and post-feeding weights to track intake
Treatment of common breastfeeding problems
Newborn behavior consultation
Newborn sleep consultation
Referral to specialists for the newborn, when needed
Referral to specialists for the mother, when needed
Referral for laboratory testing for the newborn, when needed
Close communication with your chosen long-term pediatrician so that the transition of care will be as seamless as possible once you and your newborn are ready
