Hi! I'm Brittany Weldon. I am a Bay Area native, but migrated to the east coast for college and medical school, taking time off for a brief career in journalism and a Fulbright research project in Taiwan. I returned home for residency at Children’s Hospital and Research Center Oakland, and have been in love with working with newborns and their families ever since. For 10 years after residency, I worked in the Intermediate Care Nursery at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, attending high risk deliveries, taking care of sick and healthy newborns, and helping to guide parents through the journey of welcoming a new baby into their lives. I formed Newborn Transitions to bring that same care and guidance to the home, so that I can help parents navigate the first month of life in the way that feels right to them, to help every family achieve its goals around caring for their new baby.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring with my creative and curious daughters, reading with my husband, caring for my many pets, cooking and traveling.
